Imaginary Friends

Whilst browsing on the internet, I came across a page full of creepy things that children have said whilst talking about their imaginary friends. Some of the most creepiest to me include:

  • One parent said that her child who was 7 years old would talk about a ghost in his room called The Captain, who was an old guy with a beard. He said that the Captain told him that when he grows up, his job will be to kill people and even though the little boy said he didn’t want to, The Captain told him that he doesn’t have a choice and will get used to it.
  • One little boy told his mum that there was a man called Jacob, who dresses like a lumberjack, that sleeps in her bed.
  • One little boy told his mum about the ‘creeper man’ who doesn’t have a face and lives in his grandparent’s bedroom. He always talks about the creeper man when he visits his grandparents, but otherwise, never mentions him.

It makes me wonder, are they really imaginary friends, or are these children experiencing supernatural beings?

Freaky Two Liner

So whilst browsing through SodaHead, I was answering a question about whether I used to check for monsters under my bed or not. On the comments a man put a two-line story, which has actually sent shivers down my spine:

I begin tucking him into bed and he tells me, “Daddy check for monsters under my bed.” I look underneath for his amusement and see him, another him, under the bed, staring back at me quivering and whispering, “Daddy there’s something on my bed.”

I think I’ll be sleeping with the lamp on tonight and I DEFINITELY will not be checking under my bed! Ever!
